I was in a dark room, pitch black, silent, still, nothing, if I couldn't have felt my feet on the floor I would have thoght I was nothing,
then I saw a light, a tiny star-like pinprick of light, and nothing more, it didn't get biger or smaller or change in anyway, it just stayed there, like a star, and maybe thats what it was, but I wanted it, I wanted so desperatly to go to it, I started walking, then running, I needed to get to it, I needed to find it and be where the light was, but I couldn't, no matter how fast I ran I couldn't get to the star,
someone steped in frount of me. grabed me, held me so I couldn't run, it was a man, a young man, about my own age, sixteen, seventeen maybe,
I tryed to pull loose and run forward into the star, it was so close, I could almost touch it, I could feel it, it was so beautiful, but the man held me fast, his name was Darien, I don't think he ever told me this, but I knew,
I begged him to let me go, screamed at him, pounded my fists against him, but he did nothing, and the star was fading, I was sobbing, trying to claw my way out of his grasp,
"be quiet." he told me, but not in a harsh way, in a very soft voice, "the stars can't have you," I was in a panic, not really even hearing him, watching as my beloved star faded away, I think I was screaming something at him, "I want to go, I want to go," I think thats what it was, adn I know I was swearing at him, but he ignored me and as the star faded completly and i was in darkness again he pressed something into my hand and vanished.
it was a ring, the cheap plastic kind you get out of a 25 cent vending machine, but it was in the shape of a star,
