Cut to a soft-focus David Lean movie - one of those black and white intense British romances like Brief Encounter. The leading man is a very attractive man I work with who is totally married and has kids. I always liked him in real life but in this dream, this David Lean dream, we are having a torrid affair, only it's not so torrid because in this dream it is winter, and so everything is snowy and muffled. In one scene we walk over a wooden bridge and begin throwing snowballs gently at a wrecked train. In another, I am talking to his wife and trying to convince her by my breezy-but-forlorn manner that I am completely innocuous and have lost this man to her (but really I have won! heh heh). I think it's working but then I say something stupid and she knows we are really in love and that I am a horrible person.
