My first induced lucid, which I had not twenty minutes ago (!)
It starts in a public shower - you know, like in swimming pools. For some strange reason however, this shower opens into my house's bathroom. Me, a dream friend, and two other people exit the shower. The two others say some things about me that are rather nasty and I decide to leave. Heading downstairs to my room, something made me feel awfully strange. In retrospect it was probably the lack of feeling under my feet, as if I was floating down the stairway. This strange feeling causes me to think back to what was previously going on. Why was the shower bigger than normal? Who were the two other people, and where did the dream friend go? Suddenly I realize what is going on, and take a running leap for joy! Before I can even finish my leap, I come crashing down - literally. Some unseen entity has raised the force of gravity, and is continuing to raise it. I stand up, but my knees shake as the pressure comes down. I fall to the ground, sprawled out like a starfish. I laugh confidently, realizing i can simply float away, no matter what the gravity. My bravado turns to frustration as i manage only a pathetic quiver. The invisible force continues to strengthen, until i feel as if a truckload of iron filings had been dumped on me.
"Now I know how John Glenn felt," I murmur, or rather, try to murmur. As the dream slowly dissolves into my room's ceiling, I know I have taken the first step.
