I am sitting in our dining room with my mom. It is an early, lovely morning, the dining room is bathing in the brilliant sunlight softly radiating through the curtains. My mom is telling me that an old friend of mine has died.
"No she is not!", I laugh, "she is just behind you!"
Shocked, my mom turns around and sees my dead friend, too.
"Hiya", my friend says, smiling. "I just wanted to say good-bye."
I stare at her, not believeing she is really dead. She sits by the table, we talk about things and I cry a little.
Then I ask, "so...what is it like? Being dead and all?"
"Well, I'm not really authorized to tell you.", she replies, "you're not supposed to know. But I *can* show you something!"
She gets up and leads both me and my mother to my bedroom.
She opens my curtains and beyond our house opens an outstanding sight.
A bubbly soft carpet of clouds extends all the way to the distance, and a HUGE steamboat is floating on the clouds to the left of our house, people siding its rails and waving to the people who are standing on the soft clouds way down below.
"Well, I gotta go now. Take care!", says my dead friend and disappears, going to the boat.
The boat floats away, sliding into eternity, but the people who are still on the clouds begin to sink.
They start to transform into terrible beast, howling and wailing as they slowly sink through the beautiful clouds.
"I'll close the curtains now", says my mother, "those people are very desperate now. They might do something stupid to try and come back to our world, to avoid the one they're sinking into." She pulls the curtains but I can still hear those desperate howls of the dead through the window.
The dream ends.
[Er, as a sidenote I might tell that even though I haven't heard of my friend in a long time, she's still alive. ^_^]
