It all started when me and some of my friends decided that we wanted to go to the library. Like all libraries this one was huge with different varities of categories. But there was something different about this one. There was a desk where you first come in and right in front is a red velvet rope. There was a woman standing in front of the rope. She was old and was wearing a kind of suit that was also red. She had curly brown hair with a warm welcoming smile. She raised her arms over and motioned us to to come. "Welcome to the public library," she said giving us a toothy grin. "Come in and borwse as long as you like for that perfect book of yours." She unclipped the velvet rope letting us go in. "Don't I need to show you my library card first?" "Oh no young one you are welcomed to take any book you like home with you, but don't forget to return it," she chuckled. I smiled. All the books I want, this is gonna be heaven.
My friends and I decided to split up and search for any books we can. This library had 3 floors. First floor was for study. Second floor was fiction and the third foor was non-fiction. I went to the second floor since I liked to read fantasy. There were lots of windows, and it was starting to look dark outside, but I wanted to stay until they called closing time. I was looking for a special book, an old demon book. I saw it before in another dream. It had a six point star on it and was all black. As I was looking for it I noticed outside there was a full moon and for some strange reason a party outside.
I looked out the window and there it was, on the roof! I looked around to see if anyone was looking then I opened the window. I walked over and saw there were other books too. There were poem books, scary stories books, and all different kinds. I sat down and started reading all of them. Until it seemed like 5 hours I decided to look for my friends and go home since they weren't gonna call for closing time. I took the book with me. I looked all over for my friends, but it seemed like they already left. The woman in the red suit eyed me very carefully. It seemed like she was very nervous, but gave me a smile when I passed by the velvet rope. She walked over to stop me and said that I couldn't take the book with me, and I told her that I would put it back. I was reluctant, but I did it anyway. I hid it so only I could find it. On the roof.
I walked home and decided that I should visit a friend of mine and tell him what happened today. I took the next left and walked towards an old abandonded house that looked like it was going to fall apart any mintue now. I opened the door and said, "Hello, anyone home? Lestat are you here?" I went to the basement where Lestat sleeps, and tried to look for him. There was a door in the basement that I didn't notice before so I opened it, and went inside. It was very dark and had no lights so since I was practicing wiccan wizadry, and did a light spell. It came out to be a harmful flame that I held at the base of my palm. "Lestat, are you here?" My voice echoed. I walked down a spiral stone staircase and kept my guard up. He might be planning to play a trick to scare me. As I got closer I heard a sound like a wip slashing against something. At the bottom of the staircase there was a room filled with candles. And there he was in an older version. Lestat. He wore a black tight outfit and his white hair was down to his shoulders. He also wore a goatee. It was strange, but he looked like that guy from Zorro and Instict. He kept on using his wip to wipe out all the candles. I went up to him.
"So you haven't been hunting?"
Slash!
"Yes, I have."
Slash!
"Then why are you still here. Don't you always go hunting at this time."
Slash!
"I just did. Did you want to talk to me?"
He turned around to face me. Those black bottomless pit eyes pireced me, and I staggered for a moment. I told him about the book and the old woman in the red suit. He stared at me with his eyes wide opened.
"The book of Latar. You found it? It was thought to be a myth but....Sita, you must go back to that library and retrive that book for me."
"But what about that woman. She stopped me the first time."
"Don't worry about her. I'll deal with it. You just have to find the book and give it to me."
"But why does the book mean so much to you?"
"Because that book has the power to make me human again." I thought for awhile and decided to help Lestat gain his humanity.
We arrived at the library, and to my surprise it was still opened. Is this library ever gonna close?! So now the chances of retriving the book are slim. The woman in the red suit was still there, but with more women around her. It seemed like she was expecting us. She eyed the two of us but we just casualy walked toward her. She forced a smile, that seemed to take alot of effort, and unclipped the velvet rope and let us in. I walked until I was out of her sight range and ran up the stairs. Lestat followed close behind. There were still people there but the looked like zombies that looked like humans. Their faces were pale and they moved slowly. I ran to the window and without bothering to see if people were looking, I opened it. The party was still going outside, but they looked just the same. I grabbed the book and when I looked up the woman in the red suit was there, staring down on me.
"Aha, so you have found the book for me. Thank you little girl." She grabbed me by my ear and pulled me in. "You know better than to go on roofs and steal things."
"No, I don't"
I pointed behind her. She looked back and Lestat punched her in the face. Oh that's gotta hurt. She stumbled on the floor. I picked up the book and ran with Lestat downstairs. At the bottom of the staircase the women that we first saw when we came in were holding bats and were waiting for us downstairs. I summoned a protective shield, and they backed off. They saw Lestat behind me and they ran away.
"I must be famous around here."
We rushed out and ran to Lestat's house. I opened the book, and tried to do one of the spells, but it was very difficult.
"Why is it not working?"
"Hey I'm not that good of a witch you know, I'm just a beginner."
"Well try harder."
"Doing the best I can!"
Lestat paced while I tried to awaken the spell. After a while Lestat turned his headxlike he had heard something.
"What's the matter?"
"Shush. Just do the spell quickly. Someone's coming."
I turned around and tried to finish the spell. Then something was happening.
" I did it! I did it! All you have to do is drink this,"
I handed him a silver cup. "And repeat this chant..
Atanum, atorum, atirum, nackita-shum laymi naru."
He chanted, "Atanum, atorum, atirum, nackita-shum laymi naru."
My body, my blood, my soul, let my heart beat as it was before. He drank the potion.
Just then the woman in the red suit came out of the shadows. She smiled at me and rose her hands above her head. Her hands became claws, her skin became scaly, her body became distort, and her head gave the shape of a demoness that was so horrible to look at. I clamped my hands over my mouth to prevent myself from screaming. Oh no, Lestat is already human. He can't help us.
The bitch is gonna kill us. The demoness laughed and grabbed me by my neck. I let her take me, for there was nothing to fight for. I closed me eyes and felt a sharp pain around me neck. I tired to scream but I couldn't. I woke up. It was all a dream.
