I was invited to go to my friend's house, Karla, so we could do a spell to call an oracle to answer some of my questions in life. It was night time when I arrived. When I got there 5 mintues later the doorbell rang. Of course Karla answered it, and I stood there in awe. It was a man I've seen before but couldn't quite rememeber who. Then I realized that I was staring at him to I said "Hi." He had long black hair, as thick as mine, that went all the way down his back. He looked about the age of 24 but couldn't quite tell for his eyes said something more. Karla introduced me to him and said his name was Armand. The name struck me like a thunder bolt from the hands of Zeus himself. I remembered Karla and Adrienne, my second friend, talk about him. He also reminded me about the vampire Armand from the book "Interview with the Vampire." But it could't be....could it? He took my hand and kissed me knuckles while he said, "A pleasure to meet you Ms...." "Sita," I replied, "my name is Sita, and you don't have to call me Ms." "Sita", he said. His voice was like an ocean soothing and relaxed. It sounded as though he had a vaint accent, but he spoke perfect english. He talked to Karla while I just stared at his wonderful face. Pale as the moon and brillant as the stars, his eyes were as black as night, but they ment something more and meaningful that I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Then, feeling stupid, I asked him the question that popped into my mind. "Am I lost?" Those eyes, those enchanting eyes just stared at me, searching for something I couldn't find. Monments later he said "Yes, you are lost." I asked "Why?" "You are lost because you want to be lost, but on your way fof escaping your path was fogged. You had no way to turn back so now your stuck on the crossroads waiting for someone to help you." "Ok," I replied, looking like I understood.
The door closed behind the man that just entered the room 15 minutes ago. I stood there straing at the place he had just been. Karla shook me and said we had to start. As we sat down around the candles, me, Karla, and Adrienne held hands around in a circle. We chanted the spell that was provided for us to summon the oracle. It took a long time for me to memorize it because it was in Latin, but was worth it. In moments a blue light formed within the circle, and a figure that reached from the floor to the ceiling floated in the middle. She spoke in a soft voice "What is thy desire?" I spoke up "I wish to know the answers to my questions in life." "So be it," she replied as she wove her hand at me. "Ask your questions, but remember, it can only be three." "Alright," I said.
I can't remember the first two but I do remeber the last...
As I was ready to tell the last one I kind of stuttered, "I-I-I wish to know i-i-if I'll ever...find my, uh, true love?" She stood quite for a long time. "Yes," she said as a let a relaxed breath, "but.." I held my breath again,"you already found him." I let my air out again as I pondered her response. "You have to help him from the deepest darkest corners of the shadows or else you will lose him to the shadows of darkness forever." After that last word she disappeared to the realm of which she came. "Forever...?" I whispered. "Well at least you got your answers. Are you satisfied?" said Karla. "Yes, but did you understand what she just said?" I replied, looking at hear as if she was crazy. She said,"No, but that's for you to find out." She walked away.
That night I was thinking about what the oracle said and about Armand. Then, as if it were on cue a voice popped in the back of my head. It was the same soothing sound of the man I meet tonight. It whispered to me to come downstairs and walk with him. I whispered back that I couldn't come downstairs for fear of waking the girls up. I was surprised that I wasn't surpirsed at him telepathicaly talking through my mind. It was weird yet it felt like I'd done it before. He told me to look out the window. As I did I saw a dark figure wearing all black waving at me smiling. I whispered I'll be right down. I got dressed and tiptoed outside to where he was. He held his arm out to me and said "Shall we?" I was hesitant to accept, but took it anyway. I felt like I could trust him. We walked through a forest until we reached the meadow that lead to a river on the other side. The scenerie wa beautiful for the moon was out and the stars shone bright thorugh the clear night. The was a hill next to the meadow that rolled down to the river. We sat down and stared at the stars as we taled about each other. Sometimes I would come to the question that I was temted to ask, but couldn't. Instead I asked, "How old are you?" "18, why do you ask," he replied. I said "Because your eyes say something else. I heard that when you look into a person's eyes for long you can look into their soul. I know who you are because I saw it. Now tell me the truth. Who are you?" He looked away from me to look back at the stars. I stared at him doing so and wondered at how he could be so beautiful. "I am the damned. I am who you think I am. I am Armand....," he whispered in my mind the last words, "the vampire." I shook my head "yes" and stared at the stars wiht him. ThenI laided down on the grass. He lowered his head and placed his head upon my chest. It seemed like he was listeing for something that would tell hm something he wanted to know. "You miss it don't you," I asked as I let my hand go through his hair, up and down. "Yes," he responed, "I do."
I was awakened by my alarm clock, screaming at me to wake up. I slammed my alarm clock and swore under my breath " Damn school."
