First we were at Mister Knorr’s house, and it was graduation, but not for me. The girls two years older than me like Becca and Elisabeth were there, but Mariel was graduating with them for some reason.
Then me and mom were driving home and that stretch of Market street was a deep river. We left the car on that other side and swam through green water like the James river and I kept knocking my knees on the ground. Then the girls one year younger than me like grace pulled us up on a painting board and the level broke.
Then I was in a castle and these cats who used to be my brothers and sisters were attacking, trying to get in. They would try to enter through pipes and we’d set fires to try and get them to turn around. Then they turned into humans and stayed in the castle wearing red robes. I went to my bedroom and got sleepy as I read this familiar faerie book about an “elite college”. I wanted to get into it. Exactly when I fell asleep in the dream, I woke up in real life.
