The original Broadway cast of "The Scarlet Pimpernel" was apparently performing the show in my house's living room, though the only people I ever saw were Douglas Sills and Christine Andreas. (I wasn't really paying attention for some reason.) At the end of Act I, Douglas told us that they wouldn't be continuing with the performance. I kept asking him why, but he wouldn't answer me. My mom said it was because none of the cast was speaking to each other due to personal problems, and they couldn't stand to be in the same room any longer.
I was pretty disappointed. Christine Andreas started talking to me about the condition of our living room. We had some new rolls of carpet sitting around, waiting to be installed, as well as some old boxes. She said to me, "You know, the city is soon going to ban rooms like this. You'll have to move." I became very upset, and started crying. Douglas glared at Christine and told me, "Aw, don't be upset! You know you can't trust her. Don't ever listen to her, listen to me."
