We were in a car accident, my mother deliberately backed us straight into a giant snow drift.
We noticed that our Aunt and Uncle lived near by, we just had to hike down this huge hill to get to there house.
My Dad and Aunt Cynthia (his twin sister) led the way, I helped my mom who was uncoordinated at best.
I remember walking down that hill and telling myself that next time I went down, I'd bring a camera. Everything was lush and green and there was this mist, I could see these bushes that looked like a giant thistle and they were in shades of lavender and dusty rose.
At the bottom, was an old wooden fence and a few of those thistle bushes. Behind the bush was an otter, one of my fave animals. We watched as it flew up into the tree. Despite the fact that otters don't fly, this all seemed totally natural to me.
As we walked, we could hear singing and the acrid scent of burning would and scorching meat wafted over to us in the mist.
We were walking by some Mennonite Camp. I asked if it was okay to walk by and my mom said that they didn't own the land they were on and so they wouldn't give us a hard time.
They looked at us funny. And we were cold and hungry so they helped us out. Gradually the scene changed to that of me at some relatives house. All the people that were here for Christmas were here. This was some time in the future and aparently, being naked was fashionable. This did not jive with me, despite the fact that when I looked down at my body, it was that of an emaciated model. I started to get upset and try to wake myself up, but I wouldn't.
I said to myself "You can't wake up, but if you have this much realization, you can at least control what goes on, so I created a car in the driveway, a Hummer actually and got an outfit from inside of it. A fave outfit of mine from a few summers ago. It doesn't fit me now, but it fit my sutpid Kate Moss -esque body. Only my ankels were the same.
Then with clothes on, I started to walk around. The house structure morphed into Erin District Highshool where I used to go to school and it had a Coles Bookstore attached to it. Bob, one of Carols housemates, worked there. He was gonna cut me a deal on the new Amy Tan book. Then!! The store doors look and I'm stuck in there with Heather Robertson who I haven't seen since like Grade 9. Carol, Melissa, Sofia, Jayne and then Chantal and Jeramiah of all people.
We sit around talking to Bob and his other worker friend. A strange thing to note is that this book store was devoid of all books. Odd?
Then Bob started to freak as his supervisor was coming back. Who was his supervisor? This Gary Smith guy I used to go to highschool with. He worked at the gas station with Mags (an old friend).
He booted us out and we were in the hallways of EDHS.
I found my way to the music room and asked Mr. Davidson (Conductor, Music Teacher) if I could take a flute out. (I don't play the flute..) and he hooked me up before leaving. I then ask 2 music students in there choir uniforms (It was Naomi Dion and..Katrina Crouch) if people were still allowed to take music books out. They said yes. So I found one and used the funkay tag system to say I had taken it.
I stuck the flute and sh*t in my backpack and walked out of the music room and when I walked out, it was the hallway of Ross R. MacKay where I went to school as a child. I looked out the glass doors in the foyer and my bus was there!!! And it wasn't just any old Bus Driver, it was BOB MCGILL!!! The best busdriver ever..even though when I was in Kindergarten, he forgot to let me off the bus. I was so upset! My friend at the time, Katie Pringle said I could go live with her til tomoro. *L* When my mom and the school couldn't track me down, my mom called my dad who made the normally 45 min. drive in 12 minutes on his moterbike!!
But back to my dream. So I get outside and there is room for me on the bus, but I decide to walk. My fave crossing gaurd crosses me and as I'm walking up the slushy, snowy hill, I wake up.
