Dream begins with me in the car with my friends Anna and Jenne, as we're driving to some high-class salon so that Jenne can get her hair done for prom. I get to see her shoes that match her dress perfectly (these weird high-top heels with a bow on them that eventually turned themselves into clown shoes with heels) as we drive along, half the time with Anna in my lap since I was sitting in the back seat and the back of the driver's seat has been cut off. Once we get to this salon, in the back of an odd mall-like something or another, we are only let in the door because Jenne's name is on the "guestlist". Before getting her hair done, they go over her credentials, making her answer all these questions to see if she was worthy enough to be let in. The guy that is going to do her hair comes out, complete with an air of "I am better than you", and makes Anna and I change into these identical outfits so that we can go back into the area where the hair is done. It takes us a while to find stuff that fits and matches (I have some major shoe problems), but once done we walk back with Jenne and Hair Guy. I'm the only one that seems to find all this a little odd, or that finds the people in here to be too damn prissy and posh. Hair Guy gives some long shpeel on hair color, and shows us some samples and goes on and on about stuff that I barely understand, but know well enough it's all just a bunch of BS. At some point in the color process, I peak over a wall to look at Jenne (whose hair color is all off, not like the sample we saw earlier), and I make a comment on Hair Guy's process. (My mom works at a salon in reality, so I've been around, haha). He then screams at me for daring to watch while he's at work and even more for criticizing him. He demands I sit back where I was and say no more or he will throw me out. Then I snap, and tell him off, complete with a swear word of every shade and color. I'm on fire... but I get the job done and it's no time before all of us are thrown out. It takes me a while to stop steaming, but in the end I apologize for ruining Jenne's appointment and her new prom hair. We shop for a while but I continue to break the guy down and reveal to them what a crock that whole thing was. Jeez.
As soon as I get home, I pick up a magazine and read an article with actor/Rooney front man Robert Schwartzman. There's a big picture of him on the left in black and white, and on the right the article is written with a red background and black print. Don't know why I pay special attention to this, but hey... At some point in the article, the guy who is writing this makes a special effort to explain about how Robert whispers his answer to one of the questions. He explains getting his ass kicked by some big guy in a club because Robert was standing in big-guy's way. This apparently has scared the shyte outta the poor guy and he can't talk about it without a look on his face like the guy is still standing there preparing to punch him in the stomach. The next point the author guy goes on to talk about how, during Robert's transition from scared little boy to normal Robert that the author gets an urge to kiss him. "I'm not gay, but this kid is just too darned cute". He writes this in brackets right smack dab in the middle of a paragraph, so you have to read around it to continue with the interview with Robert.
Then there was something to do with a river but I don't remember it in the least.
