I was forced into joining a chorus or choir at my college...I remember that I had originally agreed to sing in the chorus, but today (the day of a major show) I was planning not to show up. I didn't REALLY want to be involved...I was too lazy. I didn't think anyone would notice if I was missing, but two (maybe three) girls came into my dorm room early that day and told me to hurry up and get dressed. I had to wear a teal shirt and black pants -- I had neither item, so they took me shopping.
The next thing I knew, I was at Toys "R" Us. I had to buy some juggling balls and kazoos. The balls I got were made of a soft, foam-like material. I bought about a hundred balls; they came in a large tin bucket (the sort of thing one often sees popcorn in) -- all stuffed inside. I forgot about the kazoos. Finally, I came to my senses and I remembered I needed an outfit to wear to the chorus performance I was apparently taking part in. I certainly wouldn't find one at a toy store.
(Note: I currently need kazoos for a French project; in another class, we are studying Rachilde's "The Juggler.")
