I was over at Chris' house, in what appeared to be the living room. It was dark. The only light source was a small lamp with a dark shade. The walls were all dark wood. I sat down in a large leather chair that was ripping at the seams...all the stuffing was popping out. As I sat down, I was surprised I wasn't repulsed by the chair. I was quite happy.
I looked at the television and an FSU football game was on TV. Excited, I shouted, "We HAVE to watch this!"
I don't think anyone was at the house. I vaguely recall knowing that April was in the kitchen, but that's it.
Suddenly, I was driving a car (not my car, just a car). Chris and one of his friends from FSU were sitting together in the backseat. The passenger seat was vacant.
Chris' friend looked like a combination between a guy I'd had a crush on when I was 11 and going to summer camp at the YMCA and the actor who played Peter in the recent "Anne Frank" miniseries. I remember that he had the most clear, most beautiful blue eyes I'd ever seen.
"I have two things to say to you. One is kind of major, the other is minor," he said.
I told him I wanted to hear the major thing first.
"Okay," he said. "I would like to take you out on Tuesday night if you will agree to go."
I was so incredibly excited. I thought for a moment that I had to work on Tuesday, but then I realized I didn't. So I agreed to go on the date.
The next thing I knew I was at a big school event. I informed all of my friends about my plans for Tuesday.
