I walked into a room and discovered that my mother had just had sex with John Flansburgh (of They Might Be Giants). I was thoroughly embarrassed, as one might expect. I later learned that, apparently, John Flansburgh was involved in a good many affairs, with girls/women ranging from age 16 to 60.
I'm not exactly sure where we were...it was some sort of hotel/conference center, I believe. My room was, if this makes sense, a sort of microcosm of the African savanna. There was a cheetah, curled up in a little ball, in the middle of the "room" -- I was afraid it might be injured, so I told someone to call animal control...or something.
At some point, I met and became friends with Theo, from Road Rules (not sure what season, but it was on at the same times as Real World New Orleans). Very nice guy. He really wanted to take me to some expensive restaurant in New Orleans (I think I was getting my MTV reality shows mixed up here) but it would cost $75 to do so, and Theo's father didn't want to loan him that much money. Theo was broke.
Suddenly...I woke up. Within the dream. I was sitting on the stairs of my grandmother's old house with dozens of other people, watching a Jaguars game on TV. We were playing the Bills. The score was 53 to 11 (eek)...of course we were losing.
It was pouring down rain -- not sure if the game was being played in Jacksonville or Buffalo. The field was very slick, and seemed more like an ice skating rink. One player slid 100 yards and slammed into one end of the stadium...everybody thought he was dead. Before we could find out, however, the camera switched over to an awards ceremony of some sort. Two players' wives were being given awards for their charitable work in Peru and Arcadia. One woman had helped out in Peru, the other in Arcadia, and some people came and dressed each in the appropriate native dress. A reporter remarked: "With those outfits...she really looks Peruvian, and she really looks Arcadian!"
Suddenly, everybody's eyes flew to one of the scoreboards. The wind was swirling around it, and twisting it...suddenly, it began to snap and crack --
