I was in an English class. I didn't recognize the teacher or anyone else in the class, but in the dream I had apparently known the teacher for a long time. The class took place in a brand-new classroom. I could still smell the newness of the paint and the carpet.
When class let out, I knew there was something I meant to talk to my teacher about. I remembered that I had been out of school the week before and wanted to give her a card. The card said, "While you're away, remember one thing -- me!" I looked at the card again and realized it didn't make much sense; I had been the one away from school. Plus, it seemed rather inappropriate to tell my teacher to remember me. Still, I didn't want to waste money on a card that I didn't use. I headed up to her after class.
Suddenly, though, I was interrupted. Lisa Kudrow from Friends came in, and my teacher looked afraid. It turned out that Lisa Kudrow was a grad student at my school, and a very demanding one at that. One of the other students explained to me that while Lisa Kudrow was playing Phoebe on Friends, she was fine, but when she got out of character, she turned evil. My teacher got in a verbal argument with the actress, and I left the classroom.
Downstairs, a court case was going on. I wasn't sure who or what was on trial, exactly, but it seemed to be some sort of sexual harassment case. A bunch of online journallers were witnesses in the case, including one fairly famous one. She was testifying while I was watching, and everyone in the courtroom seemed to be in awe. I didn't know what the big deal was, though I had to admit that the woman was very attractive and well-spoken. The jury was allowed to ask her questions, and they kept asking her about her religion. She would try to avoid answering the religion questions every time.
Someone asked her if she "had anything to keep her busy" so that she wouldn't become depressed about her sexual harassment. I thought she was going to mention her career, but she only mentioned writing in her online journal.
There was a guestbook lying on a table near the front of the courtroom. People were allowed to sign it to give messages to anyone in the courtroom. A number of messages were directed to the semi-famous online journaller. They said things like, "You have a nice butt!" I thought that was fairly ironic for a sexual harassment case.
The next witness was a college-aged online journaller who is very serious about her religion. When she put her hand on the Bible, everyone else in the courtroom put their hands up and said the oath with her. I became kind of weirded out by thre whole thing and left. I found myself outside, in the woods. I was walking with another girl about my age who I had never seen before. We came upon an older lady who was looking for a missing person, and, somehow, we were able to tell her this person's exact whereabouts. Then we heard a loud noise behind us and turned around to see a large silver train barrelling through the woods.
