The path was pointed out to me. "It's very narrow and difficult, but it's worth it." Between trees and thorny undergrowth, I clawed my way through, and emerged in an amazing park.
I was expecting a pond under the trees, but the wide area was free of forest (but for a few decorative trees). Two ponds lay in front of me. One with a dark-ish bottom, glassy but unknown, and the other, clear lake water lay atop sand studded with occasional rocks. The pond was wide and fresh, the water more pure than springwater and warm as a cuddle. I swam in delight.
