there was a lot more to this dream, and the scene right before this involved running around in snow, it was fun! we're not that far south from home, still in the same state even, but because we're close to the shore all we get is cold, cold rain and fog.
anyway, this dream picks up in a completely different scene.
keyye dreams:
JP was sitting there playing a video game, but he was the character in the game. Soon, the view was just of JP the video game character living out an adventure by crawling through tunnnels, dodging boulders and bad guys, jumping to and from ledges, all to climb up a rather fixed background and not get killed by randomly appearing obstacles.
On the last level he faces the arch-nemisis of the game, an evil wizard. He defeats the wizard and a doorway appears, but the wizard's last spell wakes the sleeping dragon sworn to protect him. JP hesitates at the door thinking, then goes after the dragon. Before the dragon can fully wake up and is trashing around, JP boldly stabs him in the
eye with a sword and twists, thus killing the dragon. He gathers a little treasure, and leaves through the illuminated doorway.
ANALYSIS:
JP loves video games and movies, especially one where he rescues the princess from an evil sorcerer and a dragon. i personally like dragons a lot, so the eye thing was a little gruesome, like yogurt getting stirred.
the video game is like yet unlike his favorite. it does flow like a movie, but more like the original mario brothers (before they were super) or other nintendo games like that: donkey kong, icebreaker, etc. where you move from the bottom of the screen up. its a lot more detailed graphically, like donkey kong country for the snes.
i was happy for JP because he finally got a true adventure, one he could be proud of. i guess he really was in the game after all, not just the character.
