I dreamed that for some reason I had

misbehaved and was sent to a

Mother-Daughter camp for disobedient

daughters.



My mom wasn't there, (she was in the moms'

section of the camp), and I had to hang out

with all of these waspy 20-something

daughters and eat all sorts of weird foods

that one usually sees only at a high tea or

a fancy brunch at a very upscale resturant.

(A lot of gourmet fruit and nut breads, sweet

crispy butter wafers, flavored butters, scones,

and stuff like that).



We all were confined to this giant tree

house and had to hear these boring lectures

about hygene and behavior from a rather

anal retentive guy in his early 30's with

glasses and a khaki tailored vest.



I remember thinking that this guy had

probably never had a girlfriend in his life

and wondering how legally they could

enforce me having to stay there, being that

I was an adult and had not signed any

consent forms.



Sometimes they'd let us cross log

bridges between the trees (which were all

huge old-growth trees with giant tree

houses where we would meet other groups

of disobedient daughters and eat more of

those horrible fattening tea cakes), though

we were never allowed to go to the ground

below.



I suspected that the tea cakes were

laced with some sort of fat-soluble

behaviour modifying drug. I didn't want

any but they, (our couselors), kept trying to

make me gorge myself and I wasn't at all

hungry.



I was getting so very tired of all of the

buttery foods and just wanted to be by myself

in the trees away from everybody and that

weird guy in the dorky vest.



The counselors said I had a very poor attitude

and would have to sit in the 'unhappy camper'

room if I continued to refuse to do craft projects with the group or eat what was on my plate.



I was hoping to find out what the 'unhappy

camper' room was.
